PUB TEST – HOW HEALTHY IS THE “VOLUNTEERING CULTURE” IN PMSA SCHOOLS?

SURVEY - WE WANT YOUR OPINION ON THE “VOLUNTEERING CULTURE” IN PMSA SCHOOLS

With all of the recent talk and glossy pamphlets coming out of PMSA Head Office on “strategic vision” of late, we think that it is important to understand just how the PMSA proposes to DELIVER it.

A key platform in the necessary architecture to effectively implement a school’s strategic vision is its community, which must be led by a strong and committed group of “volunteers”. These volunteers must not only UNDERSTAND and share the vision, but also have CONFIDENCE that their governing body and the hierarchy within the schools VALUES their opinions and contributions.

Many stakeholders in our community have historically volunteered their time, emotions and resources to the cause of sustaining and improving PMSA Schools. And make no mistake - schools either “thrive” or “just survive” depending upon the health of the “volunteering culture” within them.

How healthy do YOU think that culture is within the “PMSA Group” at the moment? Do we have an environment where people feel that volunteering is a safe and appreciated endeavour? Do you think it is being hindered or enhanced by the PMSA’s organisational response to reform and its newly minted strategic vision for the future?

Please take the time to fill out our Survey and provide feedback on your experiences and what you think the role and responsibilities of volunteering groups, including our P&Fs, should be. You can access it here:

The Survey will only take a couple of minutes to complete. Your participation is TOTALLY confidential - so you can have confidence that NO personal details will be collected or disclosed.

We will provide some feedback and early commentary on preliminary results next week, but the Survey will remain open for a month. We want REAL feedback, and whether it is positive or negative we won’t be censoring or “selecting” data when we report back.

Please SHARE the Survey WIDELY with other members of the PMSA Schools community and take the time to complete and provide useful feedback that we can translate into some real DATA DRIVEN INSIGHTS. It is important that we gather as many opinions and experiences as possible.

We are not going away.

Thank you for your support.
